A Bit Too Far

After a rough start, we made good time gettinng out of the DC metro are. I did, however, feel bad for the poor folks driving IN; interstate looked like a parking lot. 6 uneventful (thank the Lord) hours later, the kids were poolside while Sarah enjoyed a complimentary glass of vino. For those that aren't aware, the Embassy Suites does a "manager's appreciation" from 530 to 730 PM, where guests can enjoy a few light snacks and an open bar. After Sarah chilled her nerves and the kids found their pool legs, we devoured an in-house pizza.
So, about the title. Sarah and I decided 8 hours is a bit much for the kids to handle in one day, so we will be stopping off in Elizabethtown, KY. We are going to spend the afternoon watching TV, playing games and swimming. This will make for a short 3 hour drive to Union City Wednesday morning. It's only 10 PM but this pack of monkeys is exhausted, so off to bed we go. As always keep us in your prayers and stay tuned.
