Sorry it's been so long, it's been a long week. After our stuff got here, we spent last week transitioning from a house full of boxes to boxes here and there. I LOVE my new job. The position was vacant before me, so I have no shoes to fill. The people I will be working with and for seem veryh receptive to change and are excited about the role I will be playing. Even though it has been a little over a week since our last post, there's not much to pass. We love being a block from a private pool and being with Mo & Kara again has been a blessing. A lot of fols have told me that a land-based job is a break from the cutter life but from what I've seen, betweeen my work ethic and the input from my shop, I will be a very busy little boy. The kids are excited we have the tvs & dvd players hooked up. Betweeen that and the pool, their days are extremely full. I'm still getting used to this whole 8-to-4 gig, but it seems to be growing on me. I just take the work one day at a time and look forward to seeing Sarah & the kids every night. Well, that's all from Branford, for now. I did find out there are officially 47 people in front of me for Chief/E-7. Thirteen of those are gooing to be promoted this year and after that who knows; I am still planning on this time next year. We'll definitely keep everyone posted. Well, it's 8PM EDT so it's time to get kids to bed and have some down time. We still love and miss all of you very much.

Thanks for the update Joe, I am glad to hear you like your new job. I am sure you and Sarah are swamped, and then add adjusting to the heat of the east coast, about the time you get used to the heat it will get freaking cold...but that is months away. keep bloging !
